Day 1 of new salon planning

25 Silver street is soon to be Melanie Giles Bradford on Avon, west Wiltshire
This old brewery constructed in 1884 is going to be the home to MG  no 3!!
Today we took the first floor walk and put plans into place

First floor + mezzanine

All the windows have lovely old shutters and look out over the town centre

Measuring up is hungry work, we came prepared with croissants from Bertinet Kitchen in Bath, a good sturdy notebook and a tape measure.. I wish i took some gloves, it was freezing in there, until we work out how to use the heating

One of my favourite floors ever!!

Sara who you usually find threading eyebrows, in Bath and Frome  MG  and very partial to a good rummage in a skip  is in her element with this project xxx

Its out!!

Enjoying reading the Kinfolk cookbook this morning during breakfast. Rupert was fast a sleep and Tom is selling his cheese at the farmers market.
A book by Nathan Williams, which is totally inspiring, with recipes from all over the world

When they visited England they came to us at The Vineyards and we cooked something simple that had been a family recipe of the Calver's for generations.

Lemon Drizzle cake!!!!

Kinfolk Table. Small gathering. Great food. Great people. Sharing. Table decor. Simplicity

We cooked the Kinfolk team lunch in our wood oven in the kitchen, Tom cooked a ham in hay and cider, which was delicious and it was accompanied by celeriac remoulade, Westcombe cheddar, roasted beetroot and Duckets caerphilly

Little fella is 4 weeks today!

Piling on the pounds, he's now weighing 13lb...

Its incredible how they change day by day, he is focusing a lot now and starting to hold his head up

We have been very lucky and he sleeps well, he loves his day time nap and this usually gives me chance to run around and do the chores. I love spending time with him

I love those chunky little legs, he is often in this position having his nappy changed as he feeds so well!

XO
