Christmas tree and me

We had to strap our 12ft tall christmas with rope to the roof of Tom's truck as it wouldn't fit, managed to get it home safely......
It took a few boxes of baubles and light to fill,a saucepan of mulled cider and 'love actually" DVD on in the background.....
All we need now is some bunting and (apart from a lick of paint on the walls, next year!) a few games and some family and friends (oh and presents, hopefully some wool and knitting needles!) and it will be perfect setting for all 18 of us on boxing day!

Just come back from Frome. God I’m excited. The shop is being completely ripped out and I’ll have a blank canvas from which to work from. Having said that, it’s me that’s been ripping it all out – after all, Wednesday is my day off from our Bath salon, and I’ve got blisters all over my hands. That will be handy with the scissors tomorrow – please, no precision cuts! I’ve got lots and lots of photo’s and I’m starting to write my blog on Frome called A NICE ROOM IN FROME so I can link it to our wonderful Melanie Giles website. It’s been a mad couple of months because myself and Tom just moved in to our very grown up house – and to be honest that’s a bit of shell too... but hey, that’s the way I like it. ng completely ripped out and I’ll have a blank canvas from which to work from. Have yourself a merry little mulled cider

Feeling rather festive,as it's the 1st December and were getting out tree at the weekend! we found a few bottles of old cider left over from the wedding, we used 1 sachet of mulled spices, 5 cloves, a stick of cinnamon,a satsuma cut up, 1 apple, a good slug of Brandy and sugar to taste..
