Spring bedding

So far this spring (well mainly this week) we have got the broad beans, spinach, pak choi, french beans, new potatoes, shallots x 4 types, spring onions, radish's, carrots, asparagus, and lettuce planted. The weather has been stunning and the soil not to wet.. Spring cleaning indoors is just as important as doing the garden, our bedroom was the first room we decorated when we moved in nearly 2 years ago and we have finally decorated all the rooms in the house, just the hallway to go, but that can be a winter job next year...

Today I've been working from home...I have VAT and end of year accounts to finalise, which is not my cup of tea but it's quiet here and I can listen to what I want to on the radio..

I have a cool project up my sleeve for this year. It's quite bazaar but have been thinking about it for a few months now, so I'm going to test my entrepreneurial strengths and give it a go. I think it's in my blood.. and I know everyone will LOVE IT... I'll never sleep with excitement..

Georgian grandeur

Over the past few weekday/evenings and weekends we have transformed our lounge.. Mainly by getting rid of the dull green walls and antique effect on the wood work.. after a few discussions over tester pots of paint we agreed on this calming grey tone  'Bone China Blue' by little greene paint company, its makes the room look so light with the tall sash Georgian windows and complimenting our furniture, reindeer rugs, hand knitted cushions and open fire...

With it's chalky texture and the contrast with the  brilliant white it shows off the height of the room
